The week began with a team of volunteers who spent Bank Holiday Monday continuing to work on the garden. The main jobs were weaving the willow and getting the plants into the ground. Our volunteers included children from school and Nursery, parents, governors, members of staff and even Mr Greaves! On Tuesday, we had two more school teams on site working on the pond and labelling all the plants. On Wednesday morning, our team of five spoke to the judges. Afterwards, the judges commented that they were very confident and had good initiative when answering questions. In the afternoon, we were thrilled to find out that Gardeners World wanted to film our garden. Two of our judging team were interviewed by Adam Frost and we are hoping that some of the footage will be used in Friday's programme (BBC2 8.30pm).
On Thursday at midday we headed over to the marquee for the presentation ceremony. We were awarded Best School Garden and Best Vlog! What a fantastic result- well done to everyone! The rest of the day was spent speaking to members of the public and we are now looking forward to a very busy weekend at the show!
