Collective Worship

Christian-based collective worship is central to the life of our school. A daily assembly is held either as a whole school or in classes and gives us the special time in which to worship, pray, reflect, celebrate achievement and share good work. Rev Robert, our local vicar, and the Open the Book team from St James’ Church lead assembly once a fortnight. Parents are regularly invited to join us for collective worship led by classes and for special occasions.

The impact of daily Collective Worship is immediate in terms of involvement and enjoyment at the time, but there is a longer-term impact that is seen in children’s attitudes and behaviour through a sense of belonging and shared values.
