The Nursery comprises a small team of experienced and dedicated staff.
Lauren (Nursery Manager)
Lauren is CACHE Level 3 qualified, with several years experience working across the Early Years. Lauren’s exceptional organisational skills ensure the smooth-running of the Nursery on a daily basis. Lauren’s planned activities are specially formulated for our two-year-olds, ensuring all ages are catered for. She leads on ICT within Nursery, ensuring both staff and children are using current apps to enhance learning and teaching. Lauren is also our lead First Aider and keeps us all safe through thorough risk assessments and individual care plans.
Carol (Deputy Nursery Manager)
Carol is an experienced Early Years practitioner with a Level 3 qualification in Early Years. Carol also holds a Level 4 primary school teaching support qualification. Carol enjoys the specific curriculum areas of mathematics and literacy and loves encouraging the children in these subjects. Carol also enjoys Forest School and holds a Level 2 RHS qualification in Horticulture. Carol has two primary-aged children who take up much of her spare time, but she does love to read in any time she has free.
Charlie (Nursery Assistant)
Charlie has lived in Cradley all her life and has recently studied a Diploma of Art at Hereford College. Charlie enjoys the Expressive Arts and Design area, especially being creative with the children in Nursery. She also has two nephews at Cradley School. Charlie loves the outdoors and is often found walking her dog Buster around the village. In her spare time, Charlie has an interest in photography, and specialises in children's photography.
Katrina (Nursery Assistant)
Katrina studied levels 2 and 3 Cache Diploma in Pre-school Practice. Katrina enjoys helping out with Forest School each week at the Cradley School. Katrina's time at home is spent looking after her three girls - one of whom is at Cradley school - and not forgetting Frank the dog. Katrina enjoys sport, especially football, and is a supporter of Liverpool. Katrina spends most weekends watching or running the line for her daughter’s football team.
Eryl has been Chair of Governors at Cradley school since 2011 and really enjoys her role leading the team to work effectively both in supporting and challenging the school. She is a former teacher and lecturer in Education and has been involved in many areas of Education during her career - particularly in Early Years. Eryl's interests are in Art and Design (she studied Art), gardening and holidaying!
At Cradley Nursery we are mentors for a wide variety of students, ranging from those at college to student teachers at university. We work closely with Worcester University to be an excellent provider of Early Years mentoring, working collaboratively to share in outstanding practice.
